Tuesday 10 February, 6.00pm, Battle Taproom, Battle High Street

Battle for Trees is holding a public meeting on Tuesday 10 February at 6.00pm at Battle Taproom to discuss the Rother Local Plan and what it means for trees, green spaces, and future development in and around Battle.

The Local Plan will shape planning decisions for years to come. It has direct implications for tree cover, hedgerows, wildlife habitats, and the character of our town. This meeting is an opportunity to understand what is being proposed and to agree how we, as a community, should respond.

What we’ll cover:

  • An overview of the Rother Local Plan
  • How proposed policies could affect trees and green infrastructure
  • The ongoing loss of trees in Battle
  • How residents can raise concerns and influence decision-making

The meeting is open to everyone whether you are already involved with Battle for Trees or simply care about the future of our local environment.

If people do not speak up about the loss of trees, councils and developers will assume there is no opposition. Community voices matter, but only if they are heard.

No booking required. Just come along.

We look forward to seeing you there.
